Taking cuttings from dahlia tubers is one of the fastest and most inexpensive ways to grow your stock.
What you’ll need:
Warming up dormant tubers:
- Potting mix/soil
- Pot(s) for tubers
- Labels/plant tags
- Sharpie marker
- Heated room above 60º
Once eyes have grown and it’s time to take cuttings:
- Tray with 50-70 cells and bottom water tray
- Dome lid for tray
- Heat mat
- Washed play sand
- Labels/plant tags
- Sharpie marker
- Sunny room or grow lights
- X-acto Knife/Scalpel
- Plant mister/squirt bottle
